bamboo roman shade as a wall decoration, as opposed to a picture or other wall ornaments.....?

I have a large open wall with a big round clock and 2 raised pieces of art hanging on it, but it needs more. I hung the shade with a red window scarf over the top(sage green wall)...... the shade is in a corner where their are other pictures on the other wall ( trying to avoid too many pictures). .....your opinions?

I got mine from online store and from home improvement store . The ready made ones are much cheaper than the ones custom made from the online store. The ones from home improvement store are longer than my windows but I just keep the bottoms rolled up and they look pretty good. If you like all the shades perfectly fit to your windows, I will recommend selectblinds.com. My shades come in nicely packed and have good quality.

Can i trim my wood roman shades with a saw?

My neighbor has some roman shades she needs trimmed to fit her window, and i asked my stepdad if he would trim it, but he said it looks like its made of bamboo and therefor it might splinter instead of cut correctly...Is there a way we can successfully saw the shade? (we would be cutting the width) (also, we checked and made sure where we are cutting still allows the blinds to function)

Your step dad is correct, Bamboo,or any thin wood will split ,and splinter on the ends. However, I have cut this thing with a band saw. I just got all the slat ends evened up, clamped them just enough to keep them together and cut them all at once with a band saw. They come out looking like they were never cut. Make sure to use a blade that has no less than 10 teeth per inch. You can do it, just take your time. Good Luck

I like that look; it warms up the mint truffle. You could add white sheers to bring in the other whites in the room, but be sure to add more of the natural bamboo look too.
