Very comfortable as couch or bed

This futon is very comfortable for sitting or sleeping, it's wide enough that you don't really even have to fold it down flat to sleep, but if you do there is a groove in the middle between the two mattresses. The cover material is very soft, sort of like a velour. Assembly requires two people but still takes half an hour or so. Be sure to cut the binding straps after you take the couch out of the box, don't try to slide the straps off like I did. They aren't needed for anything except to squish the couch together so it fits in the box. I liked it so much I bought a second one.
